Japanese Mastery ( Higonokami)
Higonokami and other Japanese knives were created to accompany artisans and samurai away from the kitchen. Today, they remain icons of precision: carbon steel blades, pivot opening, and an edge that cuts like a scalpel.
Types of Japanese knives
-
Higonokami: the classic folding blade with brass handle.
-
Kiridashi pocket: extreme minimalism for carving or opening boxes.
-
Modern Damascus: wavy aesthetic, stainless steel and pocket clip.
Why choose a Japanese knife?
-
Superior edge thanks to steels such as Aogami or VG-10.
-
Timeless design : no spring, no unnecessary screws.
-
Collectibles : many pieces signed by the blacksmith.
-
Each piece bears the blacksmith's signature: collection and functionality in your pocket.
Express knife maintenance
Sharpen it with an 8000-grit sharpening stone every few months, oil the pivot with camellia oil, and store it dry. This way, the patina will be your hallmark, not the rust.
All our knives arrive hand-sharpened in Japan and are prepared in Spain within 24-48 hours.
